Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) will hold a planned exhibition with the theme 'Spring Blooming on Hanji' at the Jeonju Millennium Hanji Museum from the 5th to May 1st.
This exhibition expands the images expressed on Hanji beyond the flat surface, creating an immersive exhibition where visitors can experience as if entering into the paintings. It is designed to allow visitors to feel the warm texture and delicate expressions of Hanji up close.
The exhibition space is organically structured with elements such as walls, floors, objects, and lighting functioning as part of the artwork. It captures the atmosphere of time and memory within the space layered with the texture of Hanji, depicting a scene where spring lingers.
In particular, it presents various directing techniques using light and shadows by creating a structure where monochrome drawings and printing images are arranged in a way that flat and dimensional aspects coexist, projecting changing shadows as another drawing in space over time.
Furthermore, it sets up visually appealing structures suitable for photography and sharing, creating an 'Instagrammable' space where visitors naturally become part of the artwork, providing an exhibition experience where art appreciation and participation come together.
Choi Rak-gi, CEO of Jeonju Cultural Foundation, stated, "It is a space that showcases Hanji utilized as an artistic material, rediscovering the contemporary value of Hanji," and expressed hope that "many people will visit and spend time interacting with the artwork within the space."
전주천년한지관, ‘한지에 피는 봄’ 기획전시 개최
전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)은 5일부터 5월 1일까지 전주천년한지관에서 ‘한지에 피는 봄’을 주제로 기획전시를 개최한다.
이번 전시는 한지 위에 표현된 이미지를 평면에 가두지 않고 공간 전체로 확장한 몰입형 전시로, 관람객이 그림 속으로 거니는 듯한 경험을 제공한다. 한지의 따뜻한 질감과 섬세한 표현을 보다 가까이에서 느낄 수 있도록 기획됐다.
전시 공간은 벽면과 바닥, 오브제, 조명 등을 유기적으로 구성해 각 요소가 작품의 일부로 기능하도록 연출했다. 한지의 질감을 겹겹이 쌓아 올린 공간 속에서 시간과 기억의 분위기를 담아내며, 봄이 머무는 한 장면을 구현했다.
특히 단색 드로잉과 프린팅 이미지를 교차 배치해 평면과 입체가 공존하는 구조를 만들고, 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 그림자를 또 하나의 드로잉으로 공간에 투영하는 등 빛과 그림자를 활용한 다양한 연출 기법을 선보인다.
또한 사진 촬영과 공유에 적합한 시각적 구조물을 설치해 이른바‘인스타그래머블(Instagrammable)’공간을 구성하여 관람객이 자연스럽게 작품의 일부가 되도록 하며, 이를 통해 작품 감상과 참여가 어우러지는 전시 경험을 제공한다.
최락기 전주문화재단 대표이사는 “예술 소재로 활용된 한지를 선보여 한지의 현대적 가치를 재발견하는 공간”이라며 “많은 사람들이 방문해 공간 속에서 작품과 교감하는 시간을 갖길 바란다”고 말했다.
