In the first half of 2026, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province National Gugak Center (hereinafter referred to as the Gugak Center) will kick off its Thursday regular performance series with a dance performance by the dance troupe on the 16th.
Under the theme of 'The Beauty, Elegance, and Joy of Our Dance I,' the stage that will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Hall of Masters of Korean Sound Culture will shed light on the value of traditional dance and continue the dance rhythm of the Jeonbuk region.
The performance will showcase 'Taepyeongmu,' a dance that wishes for the prosperity and peace of the country, and 'Ipchum (Guksuholryu),' which is the basis of folk dance characterized by the harmony of Jungjoongdong and the restraint and inner emotions portrayed by member No Taeho.
The next stage will be the 'Honam Sanjo Dance (Igiljuryu).' Honam Sanjo Dance (Jeonbuk Intangible Cultural Heritage) is a dance performed to the rhythm of Sanjo based on Honam Pansori and Sinae, expressing the emotions of resentment, excitement, and vitality through the gestures of member Bae Seunghyun. In the following 'Sugeon Dance (Singwanchullyu),' member Lee Yujun will use a handkerchief as a prop to express the hardships of life through elegant footwork and graceful dance movements.
The highlight of this performance, the 'Jeonju Buchaechum (Janginsukryu),' is a splendid fan dance that combines the music of Namdo with the melodies of Jeonju and the Jeonju Hapjukseon. Members Kim Hyejin and Kim Seonyoung will express the poignant memories of a spring night by the window, with the memories of the plum blossoms fluttering like plum flower petals. They will then present a creative dance piece 'Love Song,' interpreting the love story of Chunhyang and Mongryong through the love song from the Pansori Chunhyangga.
The final stage will be the dynamic 'Jindo Bukchum,' where improvisational dance movements combined with artistic flair shine. Member Kim Jichun will unfold an exciting performance with percussion accompaniment, decorating the grand finale of the first regular performance.
도립국악원 목요상설 가무악‘우리 춤의 멋·한·흥Ⅰ’공연
전북특별자치도립국악원(이하 국악원)은 2026년 상반기 목요상설 가무악이 첫 무대가 무용단 공연으로 16일 시작된다.
‘우리 춤의 멋·한·흥Ⅰ’을 주제로 이날 저녁 7시 30분 한국소리문화의전당 명인홀에서 열리는 무대는 전통춤의 가치를 재조명하고, 전북 지역의 춤맥을 잇는 자리다.
나라의 번영과 태평성대(太平聖代)를 기원하는 ‘태평무’와 정중동의 조화로움과 민속무용의 기본이 되는 ‘입춤(국수호류)’을 노태호 단원이 절제된 품격과 내면의 정서를 담아 선보인다.
다음 무대는‘호남산조춤(이길주류)’이다. 호남산조춤(전북무형유산)은 호남 판소리와 시나위를 바탕으로 산조 가락에 맞춰 추는 춤으로, 배승현 단원의 몸짓으로 한(恨)과 흥(興), 신명을 무대예술로 승화해 표현한다. 이어지는‘수건춤(신관철류)’에서는 이유준 단원이 수건을 소품으로 활용해 우아한 발놀림과 유려한 춤사위로 삶의 애환을 풀어낸다.
이번 공연의 백미인 ‘전주부채춤(장인숙류)’은 남도 음악을 바탕으로 전주의 시나위 가락과 전주합죽선이 어우러진 화려한 부채춤이다. 김혜진, 김선영 단원이 봄밤 창가에서 매창(梅窓)의 애절한 추억이 매화(梅花) 꽃잎처럼 흩날리는 모습을 춤으로 표현한다. 이어 판소리 춘향가 중 사랑가 눈대목을 춤으로 풀어낸 창작무용 ‘사랑가’를 박근진, 김소희 단원이 선보이며 춘향과 몽룡의 사랑 이야기를 아름답게 그려낸다.
마지막 무대는 즉흥적인 춤사위가 어우러져 예술성이 돋보이는 역동적인 ‘진도북춤’이다. 김지춘 단원이 사물 반주와 함께 흥겨운 무대를 펼치며 첫 상설공연의 대미를 장식한다.
