Jeonbuk Content Convergence Promotion Agency Recruits 12 Trainees for Webtoon Author Training Program

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Contents Convergence Promotion Agency is recruiting 12 trainees for the '2026 Jeonbuk Webtoon Author Training Program' to cultivate talents that will lead the future of the webtoon industry in Jeonbuk.

This program has been established to support aspiring and established authors in the region to focus on creation in a stable environment, enhance their practical skills, and pave the way for debut and serialization. The target applicants are aspiring and established authors aged 19 and above residing in Jeonbuk who are preparing for debut or planning their next work.

Selected trainees will receive a monthly creative support fund of 1.5 million won for six months, up to a maximum of 9 million won per person. Outstanding trainees will also receive additional support of up to 900,000 won for manuscript fees.

The education program includes tailored mentoring sessions with current webtoon authors and producers, capacity-building training, company visits and business consultations, and support for attending domestic webtoon exhibitions.

Applications will be accepted from April 9 to May 4 until 3 p.m., and applicants can submit their application forms, project proposals, and portfolios via email. Detailed information can be found on the Jeonbuk Contents Convergence Promotion Agency website.

Director Kim Sung-kyu stated, "We have expanded this year's recruitment to 12 individuals to discover and nurture potential webtoon authors in the region," adding, "We will continue to provide ongoing support to help creators progress towards debut and serialization."
