Suncheon County is recruiting students for a "customized vocational education and training" program until April 30 to enhance the employment capabilities of its residents and foster locally tailored talent.
This education program is being pursued to assist residents in securing stable employment through practical training focused on employment and entrepreneurship, and to establish a sustainable job base within the region.
The recruitment process includes three courses: Hospital Accompanying Manager Level 1, AI Senior Education Specialist, and Pet Caretaker Certification Course, with approximately 15 students per course.
The education will take place sequentially from May to June at the Youth Culture Center and Women's Center in Suncheon. The main contents include understanding medical services and care practices, elderly psychology and generative AI basics, digital teaching methods, pet behavior correction, relevant laws, and management education.
Any Suncheon resident can apply, and applications can be submitted by visiting the Economic and Transportation Department and Job Creation Team at Suncheon County Office or via email. While the tuition is free, students are responsible for some expenses like textbooks, materials, and certification issuance fees.
An official from the county stated, "Through customized vocational education that reflects the diverse employment demands of residents, we will actively support raising practical employment capabilities and lead to local job creation."

순창군, 맞춤형 직업교육훈련 수강생 모집
순창군이 군민의 취업 역량을 높이고 지역 맞춤형 인재를 양성하기 위해 ‘맞춤형 직업교육훈련’을 운영하고 오는 4월 30일까지 수강생을 모집한다.
이번 교육은 취업과 창업에 필요한 실무 중심 교육을 통해 군민의 안정적인 일자리 진입을 돕고, 지역 내 지속 가능한 일자리 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진된다.
모집 과정은 병원동행매니저 1급, AI 시니어교육 전문지도사, 반려동물관리사 자격증 과정 등 3개이며, 과정별 15명 내외로 운영될 예정이다.
교육은 오는 5월부터 6월 사이 청년문화센터와 여성회관 등에서 순차적으로 진행된다. 주요 내용은 의료서비스 이해와 돌봄 실무, 노인 심리와 생성형 AI 기초·디지털 교수법, 반려동물 행동교정과 관련 법률 및 관리 교육 등이다.
신청 대상은 순창군민 누구나 가능하며, 순창군청 경제교통과 일자리창출팀 방문 또는 이메일을 통해 접수할 수 있다. 수강료는 무료지만 교재비와 재료비, 자격증 발급 비용 등은 일부 자부담이다.
군 관계자는 “군민의 다양한 취업 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 직업교육을 통해 실질적인 취업 역량을 높이고 지역 일자리 창출로 이어질 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
