The election management committee of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province branch of the Democratic Party of Korea (Chairman Park Young-ja, hereinafter referred to as the Jeonbuk Province Election Management Committee) announced the final results of the selection of local government heads in 8 regions within the province on the 22nd.
The final results revealed that the following candidates were selected as heads of local governments: △ Jo Ji-hoon in Jeonju City △ Kim Jae-joon in Gunsan City △ Choi Jeong-ho in Iksan City △ Lee Hak-soo in Jeongeup City △ Yang Chung-mo in Namwon City △ Yoo Hee-tae in Wanju County △ Jeon Chun-sung in Jinan County △ Kwon Ik-hyun in Buan County. The results for the selection in Imsil County will be announced at a later date. With this, out of the 14 city and county head candidates in Jeonbuk, the selection for 13 city and county heads has been completed.
It was reported that the candidate for the head of Imsil County will be announced after the conclusion of the central party's ethics investigation into allegations of distributing bribes.
The final voting process reflected 50% of the rights-holding party members' electoral college and 50% of the general public's safety number electoral college. On the first day (20th), voting was conducted through telephone ARS for both party members and safety number electoral college members, while on the second day (21st), only party members voluntarily participated in voting through ARS. The final results were not publicly disclosed in accordance with party regulations but were conveyed through each candidate's observers.
Previously, the Jeonbuk Province Election Management Committee had confirmed 5 candidates in regions where more than half of the votes were obtained through the preliminary election held from April 11th to 12th (Kimje City, Muju County, Jangsu County, Suncheon County, Gochang County). Subsequently, for the 9 regions where a majority winner did not emerge, a final vote was conducted from April 20th to 21st among the top two candidates from the preliminary election.

민주당, 전주시장 조지훈-군산시장 김재준-익산시장 최정호 후보 확정
더불어민주당 전북특별자치도당 선거관리위원회(위원장 박영자, 이하 전북도당 선관위)는 22일 도내 8곳 기초단체장 결선 결과를 발표했다.
결선 결과 △전주시 조지훈 후보 △군산시 김재준 후보 △익산시 최정호 후보 △정읍시 이학수 후보 △남원시 양충모 후보 △완주군 유희태 후보 △진안군 전춘성 후보 △부안군 권익현 후보가 각각 이름을 올렸다. 이밖에 임실군 결선결과 발표는 추후 공지 예정이다. 이로써 전북 14개 시·군 기초단체장 후보 중 13개 시·군 단체장 경선 후보가 완료됐다.
임실군수 후보자는 금품살포 제공 의혹과 관련해 중앙당 윤리감찰이 마무리되면 향후 발표할 것으로 알려졌다.
결선 투표는 권리당원 선거인단 50%, 일반시민 안심번호 선거인단 50%를 각각 반영했다. 1일차(20일)는 권리당원과 안심번호 선거인단이 받는 전화 ARS를 통해 투표가 진행됐으며, 2일차(21일)에는 권리당원만이 자발적 거는 ARS로 투표에 참여했다. 결선 결과는 당규에 따라 공개하지 않고 각 후보 참관인을 통해 전달됐다.
앞서, 전북도당 선관위는 지난 4월 11일부터 12일까지 실시한 본경선을 통해 과반수 이상 득표한 5개 지역(김제시·무주군·장수군·순창군·고창군) 후보를 확정한 바 있다. 이어 과반 득표자가 나오지 않은 9개 지역에 대해서는 본경선 1~2위 다득표 후보를 대상으로 4월 20일부터 21일까지 결선 투표를 진행했다.
더불어민주당 전북특별자치도당 14개 시·군 기초단체장 최종 후보는 다음과 같다.
