The Jeonju World Sound Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Sound Festival, organized by Chairman Choi Cheol) is celebrating its 25th anniversary by hosting a special photo contest titled "My Sound Festival" until May 26th. "My Sound Festival" has been prepared to revive the precious memories of the festival-goers who have visited the festival over the years and to record the footsteps of the festival together.
The photos should be taken at the Sound Festival site between 2001 and 2016, and they hold significance in sharing memories that have been kept in personal drawers for a long time. Anyone can participate without restrictions on theme or format if the photos capture moments of joy, laughter, tears, touching performances, vivid atmosphere at the scene, and various stories from that time.
This contest is expected to be an opportunity to draw out the participation of various generations who remember the Sound Festival. It is anticipated that not only the viewers who have experienced the festival in the past but also moments shared with family, friends, and loved ones will create a sense of empathy that transcends generations. Furthermore, through the photos recorded from the viewers' perspectives, it is expected to be an opportunity to look back on the 25 years that the Sound Festival has walked through and to reexamine the meaning of the festival.
To participate, all you need is one photo related to the Sound Festival, whether it's stored in a drawer, an old mobile phone, or an image remaining on a digital camera.
The submission period is until May 26th, and anyone can participate. Some participants will be eligible for various prizes through a draw, and detailed information can be found on the official Sound Festival Instagram account.

2026 전주세계소리축제 사진공모전 <나의 소리축제> 개최
전주세계소리축제(이하 소리축제, 조직위원장 최철)가 25주년을 맞아 <나의 소리축제>라는 타이틀로 5월 26일까지 특별한 사진공모전을 개최한다. <나의 소리축제>는 그동안 축제를 찾아준 관람객들의 소중한 기억을 되살리고 축제의 발자취를 함께 기록하기 위해 마련됐다.
사진은 2001년부터 2016년 사이 소리축제 현장에서 촬영된 것을 대상으로 하며, 오랜 시간 개인의 서랍 속에 간직되어 있던 추억을 공유하는 데 의미를 가진다. 축제를 즐기며 웃고 울었던 순간, 공연의 감동, 현장의 생생한 분위기 등 당시의 다양한 이야기를 담은 사진이라면 주제와 형식에 제한 없이 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
이번 공모전은 소리축제를 기억하는 다양한 세대의 참여를 이끌어내는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다. 과거 축제를 경험한 관람객은 물론, 가족·지인·연인과 함께한 순간들을 다시 꺼내보며 세대를 아우르는 공감의 장이 형성될 것으로 보인다. 아울러 관람객의 시선으로 기록된 사진들을 통해 소리축제가 걸어온 25년의 시간을 돌아보고 축제의 의미를 다시금 되짚어보는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.
참여 방법은 장롱 속에 보관되어 있던 사진이나 오래된 휴대전화, 디지털카메라에 남아 있는 이미지 등 소리축제와 관련된 사진 1장만 있으면 응모가 가능하다.
공모 기간은 5월 26일까지이며, 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 응모자 중 일부에게는 추첨을 통해 다양한 경품이 제공될 예정이며 자세한 사항은 소리축제 공식 SNS 인스타그램에서 확인 가능하다.
