This exhibition combines the meanings of 'quiet Jeong (靜)', 'warm On (溫)', 'flower Hwa (花)', and 'garden Won (園)' to create a psychologically serene garden where a subtle warmth lingers even in stillness.
Through a harmonious blend of Korean materials such as flowers, white porcelain, mother-of-pearl, and butterflies, the exhibition offers a unique aesthetic experience where tranquility and warmth coexist. Visitors will not only visually appreciate the artworks but also confront their memories and emotions within the exhibition space, experiencing inner peace.
The artist Lee reinterprets the aesthetics of traditional Korean painting with a contemporary sensibility, expressing Korean symbols such as hanok, white porcelain, flowers, and butterflies in an elegant and sophisticated visual language, attempting to organically connect tradition and modernity.
Particularly known for restrained composition, delicate color schemes, and an elegant atmosphere, the artist's works are expected to deeply resonate with viewers.
Having led exhibitions that restructure traditional materials in a modern context, as well as participating in special international exhibitions and major domestic city exhibitions, the artist has established herself as a leading female artist representing the region, gaining empathy from a wide range of viewers and collectors.
CEO Choi Rak-gi expressed hopes that this exhibition will provide a warm comfort and a moment for individuals to pause and reflect amidst their busy lives, and he anticipates that citizens will enjoy profound artistic inspiration through Lee's unique Korean beauty.

전주문화재단 기획전시, 이을 작가 <정온화원: 靜溫花園> 12일 개막
전주문화재단(대표이사 최락기)은 예술인지원사업의 일환으로, 올해 마지막 기획전시 <정온화원: 靜溫花園>을 오는 12일부터 24일까지 선보인다.
이번 전시는 ‘고요할 정(靜)’, ‘따뜻할 온(溫)’, ‘꽃 화(花)’, ‘동산 원(園)’의 의미를 결합해 정적 속에서도 은은한 온기가 머무는 심리적 정원을 공간으로 구현했다.
꽃과 백자, 자개, 나비 등 한국적 소재들이 조화롭게 어우러진 연출을 통해 고요함과 따뜻함이 공존하는 독특한 미적 경험을 선사한다. 관람객은 단순히 작품을 시각적으로 감상하는 수준을 넘어, 전시 공간 안에서 자신의 기억과 감정을 마주하며 내면의 휴식을 경험하게 된다.
이을 작가는 전통 한국화의 미학을 동시대적 감각으로 재해석하는 컨템포러리 한국화가로 한옥, 백자, 꽃과 나비 등 한국적 상징을 단아하고 세련된 조형 언어로 풀어내며 전통과 현대의 유기적 연결을 시도해왔다.
특히 절제된 화면 구성과 섬세한 색감, 우아한 분위기가 특징인 작가의 작품들은 관람객에게 깊은 울림을 전할 것으로 보인다.
이 작가는 그간 전통 소재를 현대적으로 재구성한 기획전을 직접 주도하는 한편, 해외 특별초청전과 국내 주요 도시 전시를 통해 활발한 활동을 이어왔다. 한국적 미감과 정서를 동시대적 시선으로 풀어내며 지역을 대표하는 여성 작가로 자리매김했으며, 폭넓은 관람객과 컬렉터층의 공감을 얻고 있다.
