Jeonju City School Outside Youth Support Center announced on the 11th that all 125 students from Jeonju area who took the first round of the 2026 middle and high school equivalency exam passed.
Jeonju City Dream has been operating the 'Jangwon Grade Improvement' program, a university student and school outside youth education cooperation support project, to facilitate the academic return and academic improvement of school outside youth.
The program consists of tailored 1:1 individual mentoring, self-directed small group mentoring, career counseling and consulting, online lecture support, and mock exam support for the equivalency exam.
One youth who participated in the program expressed, "I was able to study steadily without giving up by meeting good mentor teachers," adding, "I am happy to pass the equivalency exam, but I am even more proud that I persevered until the end."
Director Jung Hye-seon stated, "We will operate various career programs so that school outside youth can move beyond just passing the equivalency exam and plan for their future."
Jeonju City Dream provides counseling support, equivalency exam education support, vocational experience and vocational education training, and independent living support for school outside youth free of charge. ‘장원급제’ 프로그램 통해 1:1 멘토링·진로상담 등 지원
전주시학교밖청소년지원센터가 2026년도 제1회 초·중·고졸 검정고시에 응시한 전주지역 학교 밖 청소년 125명 전원이 합격했다고 11일 밝혔다.
전주시 꿈드림은 학교 밖 청소년들의 학업 복귀와 성적 향상을 위해 대학생·학교 밖 청소년 교육협력 지원사업인 ‘장원급제’ 프로그램을 운영해 왔다.
이 프로그램은 개인 학습 수준에 맞춘 1:1 개인멘토링, 자기주도 소그룹 멘토링, 진로상담 및 컨설팅, 온라인 강의 지원, 검정고시 모의고사 지원 등으로 구성됐다.
프로그램에 참여한 한 청소년은 “좋은 멘토 선생님을 만나 포기하지 않고 꾸준히 공부할 수 있었다”며 “검정고시 합격도 기쁘지만 끝까지 노력했다는 점이 더 뿌듯하다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
정혜선 센터장은 “학교 밖 청소년들이 검정고시 합격에 그치지 않고 미래 설계까지 이어갈 수 있도록 다양한 진로 프로그램을 운영하겠다”고 말했다.
전주시 꿈드림은 학교 밖 청소년을 대상으로 상담지원, 검정고시 교육지원, 직업 체험 및 직업교육훈련, 자립 지원 등을 무료로 운영하고 있다. 참여를 원하는 청소년은 전주시 꿈드림 누리집 또는 전화로 문의하면 된다.
