The National Gunsan University Gunsan Science and Culture Convergence Education Division will hold the '2026 May Science Week' event on the 16th and 30th at the Hwangryong Cultural Center and the 1st Student Union Building of National Gunsan University.
This event is organized with the support of Gunsan City and the Gunsan Education Support Office in North Jeolla Province, and will feature lectures and experiential programs combining science and culture under the theme of the era of artificial intelligence.
On the 16th, the CEO of the digital healthcare startup 'Digital Medik,' Do Kang-ho, will give a lecture on 'The Era of Artificial Intelligence, Our Healthy Future.' This will be followed by an experiential session on making floral table wreaths led by Go Hyun, the director of the horticultural therapy specialist institution 'Majuboda.'
On the 30th, Kim Tae-hoon, the Chief Technology Officer of the medical AI startup 'Infmedics,' will give a lecture on 'Living and Evolving Together with AI.' The lecture will focus on student participation and communication, contemplating the changes in the era of artificial intelligence and the coexistence of humans and technology.
Jong-min Lee, the head of the Gunsan Science and Culture Convergence Education Division, stated, "This Science Week has been prepared as a participatory program combining lectures and experiences," and expressed the intention to continuously expand fusion education programs in collaboration with the local community.
The event is open for participation to all Gunsan citizens and students, and is expected to contribute to the spread of local science culture and the enhancement of future capabilities.
국립군산대, 16·30일 ‘5월 과학주간’ 개최
AI·헬스케어 주제 강연과 원예 체험 프로그램 운영
국립군산대학교 군산과학×문화융합교육사업단이 오는 16일과 30일 국립군산대 황룡문화관과 제1학생회관에서 ‘2026년 5월 과학주간’ 행사를 개최한다.
이번 행사는 군산시와 전북특별자치도 군산교육지원청의 지원으로 마련됐으며, 인공지능 시대를 주제로 과학과 문화가 결합된 강연과 체험 프로그램으로 진행된다.
16일에는 디지털 헬스케어 스타트업 ‘디지털메딕’ 도강호 대표가 ‘인공지능의 시대, 우리의 건강한 미래’를 주제로 강연한다. 이어 원예치료 전문기관 ‘마주보다’ 고현 소장이 진행하는 생화 테이블 리스 만들기 체험이 운영된다.
30일에는 의료 AI 스타트업 ‘인프메딕스’ 김태훈 최고기술책임자가 ‘AI와 함께 살며, 같이 진화하기’를 주제로 강연한다. 강연은 학생 참여와 소통을 중심으로 구성돼 인공지능 시대의 변화와 인간·기술의 공존을 함께 생각해보는 시간으로 마련된다.
이종민 군산과학×문화융합교육사업단장은 “이번 과학주간은 강연과 체험을 결합한 참여형 프로그램으로 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 융합 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.
행사는 군산 시민과 학생 누구나 신청해 참여할 수 있으며, 지역 과학문화 확산과 미래 역량 강화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
