The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced the successful candidates of the '2026 1st Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exam' through the provincial education office's online portal on the 8th.
In this year's exam held on April 4th, a total of 1,047 candidates applied, including 76 elementary school graduates, 182 middle school graduates, and 789 high school graduates. Among them, 765 candidates passed, with 60 elementary school graduates, 144 middle school graduates, and 561 high school graduates being successful.
The oldest successful candidate was 70 years old for elementary school, 79 years old for middle school, and 79 years old for high school. The youngest successful candidate was 11 years old for elementary school, 13 years old for middle school, and 12 years old for high school.
For those who opted for postal delivery, the certificates can be received 2-3 days later, while those who chose to pick them up in person can do so at the regional education support office until 6 p.m. on the 22nd. Individual scores can be verified after personal authentication on the provincial education office's online portal until 6 p.m. on the 28th.
Certificates such as the proof of passing and score reports can be obtained through the government's online service, school administrative offices, provincial education office customer support, education support office complaint desk, and unmanned citizen service machines at administrative welfare centers.
Furthermore, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education will be the first in the country to hold a 'Together Award Ceremony' following the exam. They plan to visit the oldest successful candidates and those who overcame disabilities and personally deliver the certificates, sharing the joy of achievement together.
The ceremony will target a total of 10 individuals, including the top three oldest candidates from elementary, middle, and high school categories, and the oldest disabled high school graduate, based on their preferences.
Kim Nak-hoon, the head of the personnel department at the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education, expressed deep respect and congratulations to the successful candidates who achieved valuable results through their passion for learning despite difficult circumstances. He stated, "We will provide meticulous support to make it a solid foundation for a new beginning."

최고령 합격자 79세·최연소 합격자 11세…전국 최초 ‘찾아가는 합격증서 수여식’ 운영
전북교육청은 8일 ‘2026년도 제1회 초졸·중졸·고졸 검정고시’ 합격자를 도교육청 누리집을 통해 발표했다.
지난 4월 4일 시행된 이번 검정고시에는 초졸 76명, 중졸 182명, 고졸 789명 등 총 1,047명이 지원했으며, 이 가운데 초졸 60명, 중졸 144명, 고졸 561명 등 총 765명이 합격했다.
최고령 합격자는 초졸 70세, 중졸 79세, 고졸 79세였으며, 최연소 합격자는 초졸 11세, 중졸 13세, 고졸 12세로 집계됐다.
합격증서는 우편 수령 신청자의 경우 2~3일 후 받아볼 수 있으며, 방문 수령 신청자는 오는 22일 오후 6시까지 응시 지역 교육지원청에서 직접 수령할 수 있다. 개인별 성적은 오는 28일 오후 6시까지 도교육청 누리집에서 본인 인증 후 확인 가능하다.
합격증명서와 성적증명서 등은 정부24, 각급 학교 행정실, 도교육청 고객지원실, 교육지원청 민원실, 행정복지센터 무인민원발급기 등을 통해 발급받을 수 있다.
한편 전북교육청은 검정고시 시행 이후 전국 최초로 ‘함께하는 합격증서 수여식’을 운영한다. 최고령 합격자와 장애를 극복하고 합격한 이들을 직접 찾아가 합격증서를 전달하고 성취의 기쁨을 함께 나눌 계획이다.
수여식은 초졸·중졸·고졸 합격자 중 최고령자 순으로 각 3명과 장애 고졸 합격자 최고령 1명 등 총 10명을 대상으로, 본인 희망을 확인한 뒤 진행된다.
김낙훈 전북교육청 교원인사과장은 “어려운 여건 속에서도 배움에 대한 열정으로 값진 결실을 본 합격자들께 깊은 존경과 축하를 전한다”며 “새로운 시작을 위한 든든한 발판이 될 수 있도록 세심하게 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
