The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Joong-hyun) will hold a traditional music concert titled "Dadam" with tea and stories at the Yeumheon Hall of the National Gugak Center on the 27th at 7 p.m.
In this upcoming "Dadam," renowned temple food expert Sun Jae-seu will appear as a storytelling guest, sharing the theme "Temple food is food that asks how to live," conveying the values of nature's order and life respect, compassion, and sharing embedded in temple food.
The music performance will feature a scene from the pansori "Heungbo-ga," where Heungbo prepares food for a nobleman who visits his house after becoming wealthy. This scene depicts the diverse descriptions of food and the unique humor of pansori.
An official from the National Gugak Center stated, "This 'Dadam' is a place where the philosophy of temple food and food stories in pansori meet," adding, "We hope it will be a time to reflect on life over a cup of tea and feel the warm sentiment conveyed by traditional music."

국립민속국악원, 선재스님과 함께하는 ‘다담’ 개최
국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 오는 27일 오후 7시 국립민속국악원 예음헌에서 차와 이야기가 있는 국악콘서트 〈다담〉을 개최한다.
이번 〈다담〉에는 사찰음식 명장 선재스님이 이야기 손님으로 출연해 ‘사찰음식은 어떻게 살아갈 것인가를 묻는 음식입니다’를 주제로 사찰음식에 담긴 자연의 순리와 생명 존중, 자비와 나눔의 가치를 전한다.
국악 공연으로는 판소리 흥보가 중 〈음식 차리는 대목〉이 마련된다. 부자가 된 흥보의 집을 찾아온 놀부를 대접하기 위해 음식을 차리는 장면으로, 다채로운 음식 묘사와 판소리 특유의 해학을 느낄 수 있는 대목이다.
국립민속국악원 관계자는 “이번 〈다담〉은 사찰음식의 철학과 판소리 속 음식 이야기를 함께 만나는 자리”라며 “차 한 잔의 여유 속에서 삶을 돌아보고 국악이 전하는 따뜻한 정취를 느끼는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
