Jeonbuk Hyundai successfully launched 'The 3rd Half,' an unprecedented fusion model of sports and entertainment in the K League, taking a significant first step towards evolving their professional soccer home games into a 'comprehensive cultural platform' where fans can enjoy diverse cultural experiences beyond just watching sports.

On May 17th, Jeonbuk Hyundai gathered a total of 31,447 spectators at Jeonju World Cup Stadium during the home game against Gimcheon Sangmu in the 15th round of the Hana Bank K League 1, followed by a post-match concert 'The 3rd Half with Jannabi.' This number far exceeded the initial estimated attendance (approximately 15,000) based on the club's accumulated data, confirming the positive synergy between soccer and cultural content.

This significant change is also clearly evident through the sophisticated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data analysis conducted by the club. Among the total spectators who visited Jeonju on that day, 27,595 were general ticket purchasers, and 3,852 were loyal season ticket holders. Analyzing the sales of general tickets (27,595), it was found that 25% were new spectators making their first-ever reservation, and 20% were returning spectators who had not visited recently. 45% of general ticket buyers were newly attracted this season, expanding the club's fan base.

Of particular note is that this large influx was not limited to one-time fans from across the country who gathered to see a performance by a famous artist. According to actual data, 71% of new ticket buyers were confirmed to be residents of Jeonbuk province. This indicates that the club's new cultural content combination attempts acted as a medium to lead the footsteps of latent soccer fans in the region to the stadium. Additionally, among the newly attracted spectators, those in their 10s to 20s accounted for 45% of new spectators and 39% of returning spectators, injecting new youthful energy into Jeonju World Cup Stadium.

Jeonbuk Hyundai's attempt at a sports and cultural fusion model has shown the potential for professional soccer to function as a content of the tourism industry while coexisting with the local community. Among the total spectators on that day, 20% visited Jeonju from Seoul and the metropolitan area (7%) and other regions (13%). This large influx of external spectators (approximately 5,230) is analyzed to have brought significant spillover effects that revitalized the local economy over the weekend, beyond just a simple increase in attendance.

Furthermore, the significant increase in the stay time of fans inside the stadium through the combination of cultural content was objectively proven. The total sales of food and beverage (F&B) and merchandise shops inside Jeonju World Cup Stadium on that day recorded a 118% increase compared to the previous best-selling match of the 2025 season against Ulsan Hyundai. When the stadium functions as a 'cultural space' providing diverse enjoyment, consumption naturally extends as a continuation of a seamless fan experience.

These positive changes were also reflected in a mobile survey conducted immediately after the match. 80% of first-time ticket buyers and 85% of returning spectators responded that they would revisit Jeonbuk Hyundai's home games this season, indicating that they were starting to feel attracted not only by one-time curiosity but also by the club's unique soccer culture itself.

Jeonbuk Hyundai's General Manager Lee Dohyun expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support of the fans who attended 'The 3rd Half' this time. He conveyed, "Fans responded warmly to the club's efforts to transform the stadium into a multifaceted cultural space with diverse enjoyment, rather than just a simple viewing seat."

He added, "The 12,000 fans who visited Jeonju World Cup Stadium for the first time this season and the existing fans who have steadfastly supported us are invaluable assets that cannot be replaced by anything. We will continue to humbly listen to the voices of the fans and diligently refine the 'fan-experience-centered content-oriented home game' system to ensure that fans can leave the stadium with the best experience. We will do our best to become a club that shares the core values of soccer, coexisting with the local community."
