"Gogi Bong - Haegwiri"
The quiet alleyways of Jeonju and the lush nature of Jeju meet as one exhibition through the warm gaze of artists. As part of the planned invitation exhibition at Seohak-dong Photo Art Museum, the seventh regular exhibition of Jeonju Tuesday Urban Sketch, titled "Painter's Perspective," invites the Jeju Bonguri Urban Sketch team to present a special 'Land & Island' exchange exhibition. This exhibition will take place from June 9 to June 21, 2026, at the Seohak-dong Photo Art Museum located in Seohak-dong Art Village in Jeonju.
The beautiful companionship of 'Land and Island,' which began with a chance encounter, traces back to last fall. In September 2025, the representative of Jeju Bonguri Urban Sketch and members of Jeonju Tuesday Urban Sketch met in Jeonju by chance and formed a bond by sketching together on the streets. Later in December of the same year, five members of Jeonju Tuesday Urban Sketch visited the representative sites of Jeju, such as Aewol, for a 3-night, 4-day trip. They joined forces with the Jeju Bonguri team to sketch the coastal areas and corners of the village together, fostering a deep connection. It was during this time that they decided to hold an exchange exhibition to capture the beauty of both regions.
Urban sketching is an art movement where artists directly draw the everyday scenes of cities or nature in front of them using pens and watercolors. The members of Tuesday Urban Sketchers expressed, "Drawing every day is about interacting and breathing with nature," emphasizing, "The beauty of imperfect, winding, simple lines, recognizing traces themselves as beauty rather than perfection, and loving the process rather than completion are the true charms of urban sketching." This exhibition, by adding the meaning of expanding places and regions, is expected to provide viewers with an opportunity to stimulate the different rich emotions of 'Land' (Jeonju) and 'Island' (Jeju) in one place.

전주화요일어반스케치·제주봉우리어반스케치, 서학동사진미술관서 교류전 개최
<고기봉-애월 하귀리>
전주의 고즈넉한 골목길과 제주의 푸른 자연이 화가들의 따뜻한 시선을 통해 하나의 전시로 만난다. 서학동사진미술관의 기획초대전으로 전주 화요일어반스케치의 일곱 번째 정기 전시회인 《화가의 시선》에 제주 봉우리어반스케치 팀을 초대하여 특별한 ‘뭍&섬’ 교류전을 펼친다. 이번 전시는 2026년 6월 9일부터 6월 21일까지 전주 서학동예술마을에 위치한 서학동사진미술관에서 진행된다.
우연한 만남에서 시작된 '뭍과 섬'의 아름다운 동행, 이번 교류전의 시작은 지난해 가을로 거슬러 올라간다. 2025년 9월, 제주봉우리어반스케치 대표와 전주 화요일어반스케치 회원이 전주에서 만나 함께 길거리 스케치를 하며 첫 인연을 맺었다. 이어 같은 해 12월에는 전주 화요일어반 회원 5명이 3박 4일 일정으로 제주의 대표적인 명소인 애월을 방문했다. 이들은 제주 봉우리 팀과 합류해 애월 해안과 마을 구석구석을 함께 스케치하며 깊은 교감을 나눴고, 이때 "양 지역의 아름다움을 담아 교류전을 열자"는 뜻을 모아 이번 전시를 완성하게 되었다.
어반 스케치는 눈 앞에 펼쳐진 도시나 자연의 일상을 현장에서 직접 펜과 수채 물감으로 그려내는 미술 운동이다. 화요일어반스케쳐스 일동은 "우리가 매일 그림을 그리는 것은 자연과 상호작용하며 호흡하는 것"이라며, "불완전하고 구불구불한 소박한 선이 주는 아름다움, 완벽함보다는 흔적 자체를 미(美)로 인식하고 완성이 아닌 과정을 사랑하는 감각이 어반스케치의 진짜 매력"이라고 전했다. 이번 전시는 장소와 지역의 확장이라는 의미를 더해, 관람객들에게 뭍(전주)과 섬(제주)의 서로 다른 풍부한 감성을 한자리에서 자극하는 기회가 될 것으로 보인다.
