National Gugak Center to Hold K-Gugak Stage "GIL - Dancing to the Resonance of Breath and Movement"

The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Jung-hyun) will hold the K-Gugak Stage event titled "" at 3 p.m. on the 27th at the Yeowondang Hall of the National Gugak Center.

This performance, centered around the National Gugak Center's Gugak Orchestra Dance Troupe, is organized around the theme of "" and is planned as the highlight of the first half of the K-Gugak Stage.

The performance opens with "Yeongomu," where three powerful drums resonate, showcasing fast rhythms and dynamic movements. This is followed by "Honam Geommu," designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Gwangju Metropolitan City and passed down in the Honam region, and "Heungtaryeong and Salpuri Dance," which leads the inner life within the melodies of Heungtaryeong and dance.

Next, "Gyujangnongwol" presents a lively rhythm of janggu and exciting dance movements, while "Yeongheungmu" displays elegant and graceful dance movements using a flower-patterned fan, depicting the vitality of spring days. "Daeshinmu," a piece that transforms the twelve streets of Seoul Gut into a dance performance, concludes the show with a splendid and dynamic stage featuring colorful elements like five-colored flags, fans, and bells.

An official from the National Gugak Center stated, "K-Gugak Stage encapsulates the artistic journey of traditional dance and dance troupe through the resonance of drums, deep breathing, and the balance between movement and stillness."

국립민속국악원(원장 김중현)은 오는 27일 오후 3시 국립민속국악원 예원당에서 K-국악스테이지 〈길-울림의 몸짓, 호흡에 춤추다〉를 개최한다.

이번 공연은 국립민속국악원 국악연주단 무용단 중심이 되어 <길-울림의 몸짓, 호흡에 춤추다> 주제에 맞춰 구성되었으며, K-국악스테이지의 상반기 대미를 장식하는 무대로 기획되었다.

삼면의 북을 힘 있게 울리며 빠른 장단과 역동적인 움직임을 펼치는 〈연고무〉로 문을 연다. 이어 광주광역시 무형유산으로 지정되어 호남지역을 중심으로 전승되는 〈호남검무〉, 흥타령 노랫가락 속 삶의 내면을 이끌어 내는 〈흥타령과 살풀이춤〉이 무대에 오른다.

이어 〈규장농월〉은 장구의 현란한 가락과 흥겨운 춤사위로, 〈연흥무〉는 꽃 그림 부채를 활용한 단아하고 우아한 춤사위를 보여주며 봄날의 생동감을 그려낸다. 〈대신무〉는 서울굿의 열두거리를 무용화한 작품으로 오방색 깃대와 부채, 방울이 어우러지는 화려하고 역동적인 무대로 이번 공연을 마무리 한다.

국립민속국악원 관계자는 “K-국악스테이지 〈길〉은 “북의 울림과 깊은 호흡, 춤의 선과 여백을 통해 전통춤의 뿌리와 무용단이 걸어온 예술적 여정을 함께 담아낸 무대”라고 밝혔다.
