The inauguration ceremony of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province School Operation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the School Operation Committee) was held on the 26th at the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education.
The School Operation Committee is an organization representing the school operation committees installed in all schools in the province, consisting of chairpersons from 14 city and county councils. Earlier on the 28th of last month, Kim Yong-il was elected as the new chairman of the School Operation Committee, representing Jeonju City.
At the inauguration ceremony, about 200 people, including executives from the 14 city and county councils in the province, Cheon Hoseong, the elected Superintendent of Education in Jeonbuk, Ahn Hoyoung, a member of the National Assembly, Yoon Seok-jeong, the president of the Jeonbuk Native Place Headquarters, and Lee Guk, a city councilor, attended to celebrate the launch of the new School Operation Committee.
The newly appointed chairman, Kim Yong-il, stated, "We will strengthen communication with the chairpersons of city and county councils and school operation committees in the province to realize diverse and creative education that suits the characteristics and realities of each school," adding, "We will faithfully play the role of a bridge, conveying the voices of parents and the local community to the education office and cooperating."
Im Gyeong-jin, the head of education cooperation, said, "The School Operation Committee is a solid pillar of Jeonbuk education, playing an important role in deliberating and supporting the operation of diverse and substantial public education in individual schools," and added, "We will closely communicate to create a better educational environment through collaboration between schools, parents, and the local community."
전북특별자치도 학교운영위원장 협의회 발대식 개최
전북특별자치도 학교운영위원장 협의회(이하 학운협) 발대식이 지난 26일 전북특별자치도교육청 2층 강당에서 열렸다.
학운협은 도내 모든 학교에 설치돼 있는 학교운영위원회를 대표하는 단체로, 14개 시군 협의회 회장들로 구성됐다. 앞서 지난달 28일에는 김용일 전주시 학교운영위원장 협의회장을 신임 회장으로 선출한 바 있다.
이날 발대식에는 도내 14개 시군 지역 협의회 임원진을 비롯해 천호성 전북교육감당선인, 안호영 국회의원, 전북애향본부 윤석정 총재, 이국 시의원 등 200여 명이 참석해 새롭게 출범하는 학운협의 시작을 축하했다.
김용일 신임 회장은 "학교의 특색과 실정에 맞는 다양하고 창의적인 교육 실현을 위해 도내 각 시군협의회 회장 및 학교운영위원장들과 소통을 강화할 것"이라며 "학부모 및 지역의 목소리를 교육청에 전달하고 협력하는 가교 역할을 충실히 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
임경진 교육협력과장은 "학운협은 전북교육의 든든한 한 축으로, 단위학교가 다양하고 내실 있는 공교육을 운영할 수 있도록 심의하고 지원하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다"며 "학교와 학부모, 지역사회가 협력해 더 나은 교육환경을 조성할 수 있도록 긴밀하게 소통해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
