Jeong Sung-yeong (58), the former head of the Democratic Party of Korea's Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, assumed office as the new head of the office on the 1st.
Jeong, the head of the office, hails from Wanju and began his political career at the Central Youth Association of the Democratic Union. He has held key party positions, including serving as the head of the Central Party's Strategic Planning Office in support of President Lee Jae-myung's election in the presidential election.
Meanwhile, the former head, Yoo Jang-hyeong, has moved to the position of head of the Central Party's Labor Department.

더불어민주당 전북특별자치도당 신임 사무처장에 정성영(58) 중앙당 공보국장이 지난 1일 부임했다.
정 사무처장은 완주 출신으로 민주연합청년동지회 중앙회에서 정치활동을 시작했고, 이재명 대통령이 당선된 대선에서 중앙당 전략기획국장으로 대선 승리를 뒷받침하는 등 주요 당직을 역임했다.
한편, 전임인 유장형 전 사무처장은 중앙당 노동국장으로 자리를 옮겼다.
