First seminar on the establishment and utilization of the Hubei History and Culture Center opens

A seminar on the establishment and utilization of the Ho Baekje History and Culture Center was held for the first time on the 4th at the Gu Bau Memorial Medical Museum in Jeonju.

Organized by the Ho Baekje Citizens' Alliance (represented by Jo Sang-jin) and sponsored by Jeollabuk Special Self-Governing Province and Jeonju City, this seminar was prepared to explore the operational direction of the Ho Baekje History and Culture Center, which the Cultural Heritage Administration plans to build in the Naksujeong area of Jeonju with an investment of 45 billion won from this year until 2030, and to seek the future vision that Ho Baekje's capital, Jeonju, should embody.

Under the theme of 'The Necessity of Utilizing the Ho Baekje History and Culture Center and Symbolic Projects for Ho Baekje's Capital, Jeonju,' the seminar attracted attention as it focused for the first time on how to operate and utilize the center beyond just constructing facilities, based on the implementation of the Special Act on the Ho Baekje History and Culture Zone and the continuous excavation achievements of Ho Baekje relics.

On that day, the presentations were given by Oh Chun-young, a manager at the Cultural Heritage Administration, who introduced the experience of operating the National Gaya History and Culture Center for the establishment of the Ho Baekje History and Culture Center. Following this, a discussion was held by Lee Gyu-hoon, the director of the National Wanju Cultural Heritage Research Institute, Dr. Kim Jong-beom from the Architecture Space Research Institute, and Eom Won-sik, a cultural researcher at the former Mungyeong City Office.
