On the 9th, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held the 27th Jeonbuk Women's Conference at the Jinan Culture and Sports Center, with around 500 members of women's organizations from the province in attendance.
Under the slogan 'Hopeful Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, the Power of Women Together,' this year's conference was organized to promote the expansion of women's social participation and the spread of gender equality culture through communication and cooperation among women's organizations.
During the event, members of women's organizations pledged to practice gender equality, expand women's social participation, and shared the significance of women's roles and solidarity for local community development. They also strengthened exchanges and bonds among members through cheerful activities and sports events.
The Jeonbuk Province plans to continuously promote policies for enhancing women's rights, fostering female leaders, and spreading gender equality culture through collaboration with women's organizations.
Governor Lee Won-taek of Jeonbuk Province stated, "The Jeonbuk Women's Conference is a meaningful event that has led the development of Jeonbuk based on the solidarity and cooperation of women," adding, "We will support women to demonstrate their capabilities in various fields and strive to promote a culture of gender equality."
전북자치도, 제27회 전북여성대회 개최
전북특별자치도는 9일 진안문예체육관에서 도내 여성단체 회원 등 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 제27회 전북여성대회를 개최했다.
‘희망찬 전북특별자치도, 함께하는 여성의 힘’을 슬로건으로 열린 이번 대회는 여성의 사회참여 확대와 여성단체 간 소통·협력을 통해 양성평등 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에서는 여성단체 회원들이 양성평등 실천과 여성의 사회참여 확대를 다짐하고, 지역사회 발전을 위한 여성의 역할과 연대의 의미를 공유했다. 이어 명랑운동회와 체육행사 등 화합 한마당을 통해 회원 간 교류와 결속을 다졌다.
전북자치도는 여성단체와 협력해 여성 권익 증진, 여성리더 양성, 양성평등 문화 확산을 위한 정책을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.
이원택 전북자치도지사는 “전북여성대회는 여성들의 연대와 협력을 바탕으로 전북 발전을 이끌어 온 뜻깊은 행사”라며 “여성들이 다양한 분야에서 역량을 펼칠 수 있도록 지원하고 성평등 문화 확산에도 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
