Jeonju City is providing a customized library special lecture program for children and teenagers on summer vacation.
The city announced on the 14th that it will operate a summer vacation special lecture program for children and teenagers at 12 city libraries including Jeonju City Library Ggotsim from the 16th to August 23, targeting around 640 individuals.
This summer vacation special lecture program is designed for children and teenagers, the future leaders, to participate in various experiential activities through books and enjoy a fun vacation.
The special lectures will be operated with a total of 22 programs, with major programs including making a sea frame with the picture book 'Baby Coral Flanula' (Ggotsim), reading books while having fun (Seoshin), a watermelon swimming pool story terrarium (Hyoja), and making personalized accessories with glass (Geumam).
Moreover, at the 'Universe 1216' space dedicated to twin generations inside Jeonju City Library Ggotsim, a creative workshop will be conducted on August 8 for 12 teenagers aged 12-16, in collaboration with local artists.
Additionally, Wansan Library will conduct programs such as library tours for local teenagers, meetings with librarians and authors, and summer reading camps for the general public to provide a wider range of library experiences.

‘책과 함께 신나는 여름방학’ 전주시 도서관 특강 운영
전주시가 여름방학을 맞은 어린이와 청소년을 위해 맞춤형 도서관 특강 프로그램을 제공한다.
시는 오는 16일부터 8월 23일까지 전주시립도서관 꽃심 등 12개 시립도서관에서 어린이와 청소년 등 640여 명을 대상으로 여름방학특강을 운영한다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 여름방학특강은 미래 주역인 어린이와 청소년들이 여름방학을 맞아 책을 매개로 다양한 체험 활동에 참여하며 즐거운 방학을 보낼 수 있도록 기획됐다.
특강은 총 22개의 프로그램으로 운영될 예정으로, 주요 프로그램은 △그림책 ‘아기산호 플라눌라’와 함께 바다 액자 만들기(꽃심) △책 읽으며 꼼지락 꼼지락(서신) △수박 수영장 스토리테라리움(효자) △유리로 만드는 나만의 악세서리(금암) 등이다.
또한 전주시립도서관 꽃심 내 트윈세대 전용 공간인 ‘우주로 1216’에서는 오는 8월 8일 트윈세대인 12~16세 청소년 12명을 대상으로 지역 예술작가와 함께하는 창작 워크숍을 진행될 예정이다.
여기에 완산도서관은 지역 청소년을 대상으로 한 도서관 견학과 사서·작가와의 만남, 일반 시민을 위한 여름독서캠핑 등 도서관을 보다 폭넓게 경험할 수 있는 프로그램을 진행한다.
