Jeonbuk Hyundai recently participated in the 'Coexistence Soccer' program, organized in collaboration with the UNESCO Korea Commission, where they spent meaningful time with local youth learning values of cooperation, respect, and diversity through sports.
The 'Coexistence Soccer' program is a global citizenship education program being piloted this year for UNESCO schools nationwide by the UNESCO Korea Commission. It is designed for students to directly experience and practice values of coexistence, peace, and consideration through soccer.
With the increasing cultural diversity in schools due to the rise in multicultural families and immigrant background students, the importance of global citizenship education in fostering the ability to understand each other's differences and live together has become more significant. Jeonbuk Hyundai participated in this program to share the educational values of sports with the local community.
On the 13th, Jeonbuk Hyundai visited Hwangdeung Middle School in Iksan, where players Kang Sang-yoon and Kim Ye-geon, along with Coach Kwon Soon-hyung and Coach Jung Da-hoon, conducted the Coexistence Soccer program with the students.
Players Kang Sang-yoon and Kim Ye-geon led experiential programs emphasizing the importance of teamwork and communication through soccer, while Coach Kwon Soon-hyung and Coach Jung Da-hoon operated an educational program centered around consideration for each other and respecting diversity in sports spirit.
During the mini-games that followed, players, coaches, and students became a team, naturally communicating and cooperating while playing together. The students created special memories by playing alongside the players they admired, experiencing the meaning of cooperation and respect firsthand.
This activity added significance by utilizing soccer as a tool for global citizenship education that goes beyond just a sport of the field. Jeonbuk Hyundai plans to continue spreading the positive values of sports through various social contribution activities in collaboration with the local community.
Player Kang Sang-yoon expressed, "Playing and conversing with the students made me realize that soccer has the power to connect people beyond just being a sport, fostering understanding between individuals." He added, "I hope today's time together left good memories for the students, and I am always willing to participate whenever there is an opportunity to spread positive energy through soccer."

전북현대가 유네스코한국위원회와 함께 스포츠를 통해 협력과 존중, 다양성의 가치를 배우는 글로벌 시민교육 '공존의 축구' 프로그램에 참여하며 지역 청소년들과 의미 있는 시간을 보냈다.
'공존축구' 프로그램은 유네스코한국위원회가 올해 전국 유네스코학교를 대상으로 시범 운영하는 글로벌 시민교육 프로그램으로, 학생들이 축구를 매개로 공존과 평화, 배려의 가치를 직접 체험하고 실천할 수 있도록 기획됐다.
최근 다문화 가정과 이주배경 학생의 증가 등 학교 현장의 문화적 다양성이 확대되면서 서로의 차이를 이해하고 함께 살아가는 역량을 기르는 글로벌 시민교육의 중요성이 커지고 있는 가운데, 전북현대는 스포츠가 가진 교육적 가치를 지역사회와 나누기 위해 이번 프로그램에 함께했다.
전북현대는 지난 13일 익산 황등중학교를 찾아 강상윤, 김예건 선수와 N팀 권순형 감독, 정다훤 코치가 학생들과 함께 공존의 축구 프로그램을 진행했다.
강상윤과 김예건 선수는 축구를 통해 팀워크와 소통의 중요성을 전하는 체험형 프로그램을 진행했으며, 권순형 감독과 정다훤 코치는 서로를 배려하고 다양성을 존중하는 스포츠 정신을 중심으로 교육 프로그램을 운영했다.
이어 진행된 미니게임에서는 선수와 지도자, 학생들이 한 팀이 되어 함께 뛰며 자연스럽게 소통하고 협력하는 시간을 가졌고, 학생들은 평소 동경하던 선수들과 함께 경기를 펼치며 협력과 존중의 의미를 몸소 체험하는 특별한 추억을 만들었다.
이번 활동은 축구를 단순한 스포츠가 아닌 서로를 이해하고 존중하는 글로벌 시민교육의 도구로 활용했다는 점에서 의미를 더했으며, 전북현대는 앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 스포츠의 긍정적인 가치를 지속적으로 확산해 나갈 계획이다.
강상윤 선수는 "학생들과 함께 뛰고 이야기를 나누면서 축구가 단순히 경기를 하는 스포츠를 넘어 사람과 사람을 연결하고 서로를 이해하게 만드는 힘이 있다는 것을 다시 한번 느꼈다."며 "오늘 함께한 시간이 학생들에게 좋은 추억으로 남았으면 좋겠고, 앞으로도 축구를 통해 긍정적인 에너지를 전할 수 있는 기회가 있다면 언제든 함께하고 싶다."고 소감을 전했다.
