The Jeonbuk Education Office's Parent Support Center announced that it will be conducting an education program called "Understanding and Preparing School Records Directly" to assist parents in understanding their children's school records.
This education program is designed not only to focus on using school records for college entrance purposes but also to help parents understand them as educational materials that document the growth process and school life of students. It will also cover how parents can support their upper-grade elementary and middle school children in their school life and career exploration at home.
The program will be led by current high school teachers who are members of the Jeonbuk Education Office's College Entrance Guidance Support Team. The main contents include the structure and understanding of school records, the differences between middle and high school records, subject-specific information, and the role of parents in the students' growth process.
The education program will run from August 1 to September 19 in 14 cities and counties in the province. It is free of charge for parents with children in grades 5-6 of elementary school, prospective middle school students, and current middle school students.
Registration for participation will be conducted in three phases: the first phase will be from the 15th to the 28th of this month, the second phase from August 3 to 14, and the third phase from August 20 to September 1, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration can be done through the QR code on promotional posters or the education application menu on the Parent Support Center's website.
Jang Geol, the center director, stated, "School records are not just data for evaluating students' results but important educational materials that capture the growth process," and expressed hope that "this education program will serve as an opportunity for parents to support their children's school life and career exploration."
전북교육청 학부모지원센터, ‘생기부 바로 알고 준비하기’ 교육 운영
전북교육청 학부모지원센터는 학부모의 학교생활기록부 이해를 돕기 위해 ‘생기부 바로 알고 준비하기’ 교육을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 학교생활기록부를 입시 자료에 한정하지 않고, 학생의 성장 과정과 학교생활을 기록하는 교육자료로 이해할 수 있도록 마련됐다. 초등학교 고학년과 중학교 시기 자녀의 학교생활과 진로 탐색을 가정에서 어떻게 지원할 수 있는지도 함께 다룬다.
교육에는 현직 고등학교 교사이자 전북교육청 대입진학지도지원단 소속 교사들이 강사로 참여한다. 주요 내용은 학교생활기록부의 구성과 이해, 중학교와 고등학교 학교생활기록부의 차이, 과목별 기재 내용, 학생 성장 과정에서 학부모의 역할 등이다.
교육은 8월 1일부터 9월 19일까지 도내 14개 시군에서 진행된다. 대상은 초등학교 5~6학년, 예비 중학생, 중학생 자녀를 둔 학부모이며 교육비는 무료다.
참가 신청은 일정에 따라 1차는 오는 15일부터 28일까지, 2차는 8월 3일부터 14일까지, 3차는 8월 20일부터 9월 1일까지 선착순으로 진행된다. 신청은 홍보 포스터 QR코드나 학부모지원센터 누리집 교육신청 메뉴를 통해 할 수 있다.
장걸 센터장은 “학교생활기록부는 학생의 결과를 평가하기 위한 자료가 아니라 성장 과정을 담아내는 중요한 교육자료”라며 “이번 교육이 학부모들이 자녀의 학교생활과 진로 탐색을 지원하는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
