Jeonju National University of Education announced that it has concluded the three-day '2026 Children's Education Camp with Future Teachers' held from July 29th to 31st.
The camp was organized by the Education Committee of the Student Self-Government of Jeonju National University of Education, with a total of 96 participants including 42 elementary school students and 54 current students of the university.
During the camp, elementary school students were paired with prospective teachers for one-on-one activities. The program included activities such as escape room mini-games, making personalized t-shirts, water gun fights, painting, creating three-dimensional career books, sports competitions, and movie screenings, taking into consideration the interests and developmental characteristics of the elementary school students.
President Jang Ji-seong visited the camp site to interact with the participating children and praised the prospective teachers who operated the program in the sweltering heat.
President Jang expressed his hope that "this camp will be a joyful and meaningful summer memory for the children and a time for prospective teachers to enhance their teaching abilities," adding, "We will continue to operate educational programs in collaboration with the local community to provide practical experience to prospective teachers."
전주교대, 미래교사와 함께하는 어린이 교육캠프 마무리
전주교육대학교는 지난 7월 29일부터 31일까지 사흘간 진행한 ‘2026 미래교사와 함께하는 어린이 교육 캠프’를 마무리했다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠프는 전주교대 학생자치기구인 교육위원회가 주관했으며, 초등학생 42명과 전주교대 재학생 54명 등 모두 96명이 참여했다.
캠프는 초등학생과 예비교원을 1대1로 매칭해 진행됐다. 프로그램은 초등학생의 흥미와 발달 특성을 고려해 방탈출 미니게임, 나만의 티셔츠 만들기, 물총놀이, 화채 만들기, 입체 진로북 만들기, 체육대회, 영화 감상 등으로 구성됐다.
장지성 총장은 캠프 현장을 찾아 참가 어린이들과 소통하고, 무더위 속에서 프로그램을 운영한 예비교원들을 격려했다.
장 총장은 “이번 캠프가 어린이에게는 즐겁고 의미 있는 여름 추억이 되고, 예비교원에게는 교사로서의 역량을 키우는 시간이 되었기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 연계한 교육 프로그램을 운영해 예비교원에게 현장 경험을 제공하겠다”고 말했다.
