The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education operated the '2026 Teacher Learning Coaching Capacity Enhancement Intensive Training with AI' at the College of Education, Peace Hall, Jeonju University from the 28th to the 31st.
This training was conducted for 40 middle and high school teachers who had completed the basic course in learning coaching. The aim was to enhance the professionalism of teachers to understand the characteristics and causes of students facing learning difficulties and to practice learning coaching strategies tailored to individual student situations.
The training was designed not to deliver learning methods unilaterally but to support teachers in examining the difficulties of learning within the relationship with students and helping students find their own learning motivation and methods.
In particular, the focus was on utilizing AI as a tool to support coaching centered on teachers' professional judgment and relationship-based coaching, rather than making AI the center of learning coaching. This differentiated it from typical educational technology training by utilizing AI educationally according to students' learning characteristics and needs.
The main contents included understanding students' learning characteristics and difficulties, time management and memory strategies, exploring learning motivation using metaphor cards, designing customized learning strategies for students, and practicing learning coaching.
On the last day of the training, four Jeonbuk learning coaching expert teachers participated as instructors, sharing accumulated learning coaching cases from school sites. Teachers examined coaching guide development using AI, creating learning passages suitable for student levels, and practiced applying them to actual student guidance.
Choi Eun-i, Head of Secondary Education, said, "Learning coaching is a process where teachers do not provide the answers but help students identify where their learning stopped and start again together," and stated, "We will continue to provide field-centered learning coaching support."
전북교육청, AI 활용 교원 학습코칭 심화 연수 운영
전북교육청은 지난 28일부터 31일까지 전주대학교 사범대학 평화관에서 ‘2026년 AI와 함께하는 교원 학습코칭 역량강화 심화 연수’를 운영했다.
이번 연수는 학습코칭 기본과정을 이수한 중·고등학교 교사 40명을 대상으로 진행됐다. 학습에 어려움을 겪는 학생의 특성과 원인을 이해하고, 학생별 상황에 맞는 학습코칭 전략을 실천할 수 있도록 교원 전문성을 강화하는 데 목적을 뒀다.
연수는 학습 방법을 일방적으로 전달하는 방식이 아니라, 교사가 학생과의 관계 속에서 배움의 어려움을 살피고 학생 스스로 학습 동기와 방법을 찾도록 지원하는 과정으로 구성됐다.
특히 AI를 학습코칭의 중심이 아닌 교사의 전문적 판단과 관계 중심 코칭을 지원하는 도구로 활용하는 데 중점을 뒀다. 학생의 학습 특성과 필요에 맞게 AI를 교육적으로 활용한다는 점에서 일반적인 에듀테크 연수와 차별화했다.
주요 내용은 학생의 학습 특성과 어려움 이해, 시간 관리와 기억 전략, 비유카드를 활용한 학습 동기 탐색, 학생 맞춤형 학습전략 설계, 학습코칭 실습 등으로 구성됐다.
연수 마지막 날에는 전북 학습코칭 전문교사 4명이 강사로 참여해 학교 현장에서 축적한 학습코칭 사례를 공유했다. 교사들은 AI를 활용한 코칭 지도안 작성, 학생 수준에 맞는 학습 지문 생성 사례 등을 살펴보고 실제 학생 지도에 적용하는 방법을 실습했다.
최은이 중등교육과장은 “학습코칭은 교사가 정답을 제시하는 것이 아니라 학생의 배움이 어디에서 멈추었는지 함께 살피고 다시 시작할 수 있도록 돕는 과정”이라며 “현장 중심의 학습코칭 지원을 지속하겠다”고 말했다.
