On the 31st, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education participated in the signing of the agreement for establishing a 'Child Safety Network Crime Prevention Partnership' at the Sharing House on the 5th floor of the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, aiming to strengthen cooperation with local related agencies.
This agreement was led by the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, with the goal of building a child safety network through cooperation among the police, schools, local governments, and communities for crime prevention, missing child response, and school route safety.
The agreement involved seven organizations and groups, including the Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency, Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Police Commission, Jeonbuk Regional Post Office, Jeonbuk Private School Association, and the Jeonbuk Regional Child Center Support Team.
According to the agreement, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education plans to support child safety-related policies and personnel, establish a system to quickly identify risk factors at school sites and share them with the police.
Currently, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education has deployed 523 school safety guards at 368 schools in the province to engage in student protection activities such as preventing school violence and student safety incidents.
The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education will inform the schools operating the school safety guards about the contents of this agreement and will also incorporate it into the operational plan for 2027.
Yoon Young-im, the head of the Education Department, expressed gratitude to the officials who participated in building a community-centered safety network for child safety, stating, "We will actively cooperate with the student protection personnel at school sites to ensure the safety of children."
전북교육청, 어린이 안전망 구축 업무협약 참여
전북교육청은 31일 전북경찰청 5층 나눔채에서 열린 ‘어린이 안전망 치안 파트너스 구축’ 업무협약에 참여하고, 지역 유관기관과 협력 체계를 강화하기로 했다.
이번 협약은 전북경찰청 주관으로 추진됐다. 경찰, 학교, 지자체, 지역사회가 협력해 범죄 예방, 실종 대응, 통학로 안전 등 어린이 안전망을 구축하는 것이 목적이다.
협약에는 전북경찰청과 전북교육청을 비롯해 전북특별자치도청, 전북특별자치도경찰위원회, 전북지방우정청, 전북도학원연합회, 지역아동센터 전북지원단 등 7개 기관·단체가 참여했다.
협약에 따라 전북교육청은 어린이 안전 관련 정책과 인력을 지원하고, 학교 현장의 위험요인을 발굴해 경찰과 신속히 공유하는 체계를 마련할 계획이다.
현재 전북교육청은 도내 368개교에 학교안전지킴이 523명을 배치해 학교폭력과 학생 안전사고 예방 등 학생보호 활동에 활용하고 있다.
전북교육청은 이번 협약 내용을 학교안전지킴이 운영 학교에 안내하고, 2027년도 운영 계획에도 반영할 예정이다.
윤영임 교육국장은 “어린이 안전을 위해 지역사회 중심의 안전망 구축에 함께해 준 기관 관계자들에게 감사드린다”며 “학교 현장의 학생보호인력도 적극 협력해 아이들의 안전을 확보하겠다”고 말했다.
