Jeonju City announced on the 4th that they will operate special programs for citizens at the 9th Jeonju Book Fair, which will be held from September 11th to 13th at the Jeonju Hanbyeok Cultural Center.
Firstly, the "Life Book Gift Bookstore" program held in the outdoor exhibition courtyard of Hanbyeok Cultural Center is a place for emotional exchange where people can share life-changing books that have comforted and touched them with others along with their stories.
In the "Life Book Gift Bookstore" corner, any citizen can bring one of their life-changing books, write the reason for recommending it on the provided "story paper," and display it at the exhibition area. They can then choose a new life-changing book containing someone else's story to take home. However, books that are heavily damaged or contaminated, test preparation books, and outdated informational books will be restricted for exchange.
Additionally, the city will operate a special program called "Auditory Reading: Turn Off, Listen, Read," where participants can immerse themselves in reading amidst beautiful melodies.
"Auditory Reading" is a program where citizens can meet and share precious stories hidden in recommended music that is suitable for reading.
The "Citizen Playlist" received through "Auditory Reading" will be available at four indoor spaces (Gyeongeupdang, Hanbyeok Cultural Center seminar room, Hyanggyo Cultural Center, and Wanpanbon Cultural Center underground seminar room) to provide a place to take a break from the heat of late summer.
Citizens who wish to participate in the special programs can apply from the 4th to the 31st through the Jeonju Book Fair website (www.jjbook.kr) or the QR code on promotional materials.
Participants in the "Life Book Gift Bookstore" and "Auditory Reading" programs will receive special benefits in the form of limited edition goods from the 9th Jeonju Book Fair.
시민이 직접 채우는 ‘제9회 전주독서대전’ 특별프로그램 운영
전주시는 오는 9월 11일부터 13일까지 3일간 전주 한벽문화관 일원에서 펼쳐지는 ‘제9회 전주독서대전’에서 시민들을 위한 특별프로그램인 ‘인생책 선물 책방’과 ‘청음독서’를 운영한다고 4일 밝혔다.
먼저, 한벽문화관 야외전시마당에서 열리는 ‘인생책 선물 책방’ 프로그램은 나에게 위로와 감동을 준 인생 책을 사연과 함께 다른 사람에게 선물하는 감성 교환소이다.
‘인생책 선물 책방’ 코너에서는 시민 누구나 자신의 인생 책 1권을 가져와 현장에서 제공되는 ‘사연 종이’에 추천 이유를 적어 전시대에 올리고, 누군가의 사연이 담긴 새로운 인생 책을 골라 갈 수 있다. 단, 다음 독자를 배려해 △오염되거나 훼손이 심한 책 △수험서 및 전공 서적 △출간된 지 오래된 정보성 도서는 교환이 제한된다.
또한 시는 아름다운 선율 속에서 독서에 몰입하는 특별한 시간인 ‘청음독서: 끄고, 듣고, 읽다’ 프로그램을 운영한다.
‘청음독서’는 시민들이 추천한 독서하기 좋은 음악과 그 속에 고이 간직해 둔 소중한 사연을 만나고 공유하는 프로그램이다.
‘청음독서’를 통해 접수된 ‘시민 선곡 플레이리스트’는 뜨거운 늦여름의 열기에서 벗어나 잠시 숨을 고를 수 있는 실내 공간 4곳(경업당, 한벽문화관 세미나실, 향교문화관, 완판본문화관 지하 세미나실)에서 상시 운영될 예정이다.
시민참여 특별프로그램에 참여를 원하는 시민은 오는 4일부터 31일까지 전주독서대전 누리집(www.jjbook.kr)이나 홍보물의 QR코드를 통해 신청하면 된다.
‘인생책 선물 책방’과 ‘청음독서’ 프로그램 참가자들에게는 제9회 전주독서대전 한정판 굿즈가 특별 혜택으로 증정된다.
