On the 31st of last month at 2 p.m., the Wanju County Education Integrated Support Center (Director Lim Seong-hee, hereinafter referred to as the Center) held a 'Talent Cultivation Local Talent Development Policy Conference' at the Wanju Family Culture Education Center on the 2nd floor. The event was attended by about 25 people, including representatives from Wanju County Office, the Education Office (including the Education Support Office), child and youth organizations, unit schools, and school-village organization representatives.
The event was organized to link the central government's education policy principles with local businesses amidst the worsening regional industrial stagnation and the threat of regional extinction due to the decrease in school-age population and the outflow of youth population. In particular, there was a time for participants to communicate about what 'local talent' in Wanju means.
During the special lecture, Professor Ahn Byeong-hoon (Ph.D. in Education from Sunmoon University) lectured on the direction of local talent development policy and Wanju's response challenges. This was followed by a presentation of cases and a panel discussion where the actual case of a hydrogen energy high school was shared. Participants shared on-the-ground stories about cultivating local talent tailored to the conditions in Wanju, conveying the perspectives of their respective institutions.
A local official who attended the event stated, "It was very meaningful to hear different perspectives as various related agencies gathered in one place for discussion. I hope such gatherings continue in the future."
The Center plans to continue building a consultation system with related agencies following this conference, aiming to establish a foundation for local talent development policies to take root in Wanju County.
완주군교육통합지원센터, ‘인재틔움 지역인재 양성’ 정책간담회 개최
완주군교육통합지원센터(센터장 임성희, 이하 센터)는 지난 31일 오후 2시 완주가족문화교육원 2층 가족홀에서 완주군청, 교육청(교육지원청 포함), 아동청소년 기관, 단위학교, 학교-마을기관 대표 등 25여 명이 참석한 가운데 '인재틔움 지역인재 양성 정책간담회'를 개최했다.
행사는 학령인구 감소와 청년 인구 유출로 지역산업 침체 및 지역 소멸 위기가 심화되는 가운데, 중앙정부의 교육정책 기조를 지역 사업과 연계하고자 마련되었다. 특히 완주의 ‘지역인재’란 무엇인지 참여자간 소통의 시간이 되었다.
특강에서는 안병훈 교수(선문대학교 교육학 박사)가 지역인재양성 정책 방향과 완주의 대응과제에 대해 강연하였으며, 이어진 사례 발표 및 좌담에서는 수소에너지고등학교의 실제 사례가 공유되었다. 참석자들은 각 기관의 입장을 전하며 완주군 여건에 맞는 지역인재 양성에 대해 현장의 이야기를 주고받았다.
참석한 지역 관계자는 "여러 관계기관이 한자리에 모여 논의하니 각기 다른 입장의 이야기를 들을 수 있어 굉장히 뜻깊었다. 앞으로도 이런 자리가 이어졌으면 좋겠다"라고 전했다.
센터는 이번 간담회를 계기로 관계 기관과의 협의체계를 지속적으로 구축해, 지역인재 양성 정책이 완주군 현장에 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 노력할 방침이다.
