The Jeollabuk-do Office of Education conducted its regular personnel appointments for elementary, middle, and high school education officials on September 1st.
A total of 570 personnel were appointed, including 417 principals, vice principals, and educational specialists, as well as 153 teachers. Among them, there were 44 promotions for principals, 52 for vice principals, and 235 retirements due to reaching retirement age or voluntary retirement.
Choi Ji-yoon, the principal of Gunsan Wolmyeong Middle School, was appointed as the new Director of Education.
In terms of regional education superintendents, Lee Kang-ja, former principal of Jeonju Hyojeong Middle School, was appointed as the Superintendent of Jeonju, and Ju Jung-il, former principal of Jeonju Osong Elementary School, was appointed as the Superintendent of Gunsan. Jung Young-soo, former principal of Ungpo Middle School, will serve as the Superintendent of Iksan, Oh Moon-hwan, former principal of Wanju Middle School, as the Superintendent of Jeongeup, and Lee Jung-soo, former principal of Oksan Elementary School, as the Superintendent of Muju.
Additionally, Sa Hyang-hee, former principal of Suji Elementary School, was appointed as the Superintendent of Jangsu, Hwang Su-ji, former principal of Jeonju Solbit Middle School, as the Superintendent of Wanju, Heo In-seok, former principal of Ingye Elementary School, as the Superintendent of Sunchang, and Kim Nak-hoon, former head of the Personnel Department at the Jeollabuk-do Office of Education, as the Superintendent of Gochang.
In key department head appointments, Jung Tae-sik, former principal of Iksan Elementary School, was appointed as the Director of Policy Planning, and Kim Hang-yoon, former principal of Jeongeup High School, as the Head of Personnel. Im San, former principal of Donggye Middle and High School, was appointed as the Director of Secondary Education, Jung Sung-woo, former principal of Bugwi Elementary School, as the Director of Civic Education, and Kim Jin-deok, former principal of Unju Middle School, as the Human Rights Officer at the Jeollabuk-do Education Human Rights Center.
As for direct branch directors, Kim Dong-myung, former principal of Samgi Elementary School, was appointed as the Director of the Future Education Research Institute, Lee Kang-nim, former principal of Samgye Middle School, as the Director of the Science Education Institute, and Kim Jung-hee, former principal of Jeonju Hongsan Kindergarten, as the Director of the Early Childhood Education Promotion Institute.
The Jeollabuk-do Office of Education explained that in this round of appointments, they focused on placing personnel with expertise and on-site communication skills to actively promote the major policies of Education Superintendent Cheon Ho-sung, who took office in July, and to proactively address regional issues. They also emphasized strengthening the system for promoting core tasks such as establishing an education human rights protection network and basic academic accountability, as well as the concept of collaborative challenge schools, in order to enhance trust in Jeollabuk education and reflect the determination of the education office to challenge towards the future.
The appointment ceremony for principals, vice principals, and educational specialists is scheduled to be held on the 19th.
전북교육청, 9월 1일자 유초중등 교육공무원 570명 정기인사 단행
전북특별자치도교육청이 오는 9월 1일자 유·초·중등 교육공무원 정기인사를 7일 단행했다.
이번 인사 대상은 교장·교감·교육전문직원 417명과 교사 153명 등 모두 570명이다. 이 가운데 교장·원장 승진자는 44명, 교감·원감 승진자는 52명이며, 정년퇴직과 명예퇴직자는 235명이다.
신임 교육국장에는 최지윤 군산월명중학교 교장이 임용됐다.
지역교육장에는 이강자 전 전주효정중학교장이 전주교육장으로, 주중일 전 전주오송초등학교장이 군산교육장으로 각각 발령됐다. 정영수 전 웅포중학교장은 익산교육장, 오문환 전 완주중학교장은 정읍교육장, 이정수 전 옥산초등학교장은 무주교육장을 맡는다.
또 사향희 전 수지초등학교장은 장수교육장, 황수지 전 전주솔빛중학교장은 완주교육장, 허인석 전 인계초등학교장은 순창교육장, 김낙훈 전북교육청 교원인사과장은 고창교육장으로 임용됐다.
도교육청 주요 부서장에는 정태식 전 익산초등학교장이 정책기획과장으로, 김항윤 전 정읍고등학교장이 교원인사과장으로 발령됐다. 임산 동계중·고등학교장은 중등교육과장, 정성우 전 부귀초등학교장은 민주시민교육과장, 김진덕 전 운주중학교장은 전북교육인권센터 인권담당관을 맡는다.
직속기관장으로는 김동명 전 삼기초등학교장이 미래교육연구원장, 이강님 전 삼계중학교장이 과학교육원장, 김정희 전 전주홍산유치원장이 유아교육진흥원장으로 각각 임용됐다.
전북교육청은 이번 인사에서 지난 7월 취임한 천호성 교육감의 주요 정책을 역동적으로 추진하고 지역 현안을 적극적으로 해결할 수 있도록 전문성과 현장 소통 역량을 갖춘 인사를 적재적소에 배치하는 데 중점을 뒀다고 설명했다.
특히 교육인권 보호망 구축과 기초학력 책임제, 함께하는 도전학교 등 핵심 과제의 추진 체계를 강화해 전북교육에 대한 신뢰도를 높이고, 미래를 향해 도전하는 교육청의 의지를 반영했다는 입장이다.
한편 교장·교감 및 교육전문직원 임명장 수여식은 오는 19일 열릴 예정이다.
