Jeonbuk Hyundai has extended the contract with their veteran striker Tiago Pereira da Silva, continuing their journey together.
Tiago, standing at 190cm and weighing 84kg, is a traditional striker known for his strong aerial ability, goal-scoring prowess, and link-up play. He has consistently fulfilled the role of a "finisher," changing the course of games and creating goals in crucial moments.
Having joined the K League through Gyeongnam FC in 2022, Tiago made a name for himself by scoring 20 goals and providing 3 assists in 39 games in his debut season. In 2023, playing for Daejeon Hana Citizen, he solidified his position as a top-tier striker in the league with 17 goals and 7 assists in 37 matches.
In the 2023 season, Tiago tied with the top scorer Joo Min-kyu by scoring 17 goals and was recognized as one of the most threatening attacking assets in the K League 1, adding 7 assists to his tally.
Based on such performances, Tiago, donning the Jeonbuk Hyundai jersey in 2024, recorded 10 goals and 1 assist in his first season, followed by 11 goals and 5 assists in 48 games in 2025, taking charge of Jeonbuk's attack.
In the 2026 season, Tiago continued his steady goal-scoring form by scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists in 16 games. Despite often coming on as a substitute, he showcased his ability to change the flow of the game and connect goals, demonstrating a presence beyond just a "joker."

Despite receiving tempting offers from multiple K League clubs recently, Jeonbuk recognized Tiago's irreplaceable value and persuaded him to continue their journey together.
Tiago's experience and game sense, utilized to leverage his physical strength and goal-scoring ability, especially in situations where opponents' defenses are fatigued in the latter stages of games, are expected to be crucial attacking options for Jeonbuk Hyundai in the ongoing intense competition for rankings.
Tiago expressed his satisfaction with the contract extension, stating, "I had not considered moving to other teams outside Jeonbuk Hyundai.
