Jeonju City has officially launched a project to innovate administrative and public service using artificial intelligence (AI).
The city announced on the 25th that the 'Jeonju City AX (AI Transformation) Task Force,' consisting of 45 public officials from 27 city departments, professors from Jeonju University, AI industry experts, and 11 mentors from the Jeonju City Research Institute, has started its full-fledged activities to improve administrative and public services.
The Jeonju City AX Task Force, which was officially established on the 18th, began AI education on the same day to prepare for creating 'AI Special City Jeonju.'
Specifically, the task force will first receive two weeks of AI specialized education with the support of the Jeonju University Regional Innovation Center (RISE) team, with whom they have signed an 'AX Transformation' business agreement.
Following this, they will organize groups by administrative fields under the guidance of expert mentors and carry out projects to improve tasks using AI for eight weeks.
The city plans to expand the experience of utilizing AI by applying outstanding AX projects discovered through the AX Task Force activities to all departments, creating an educational-execution-expansion cycle structure that leads to the development of other projects.
전주시, ‘행정 AI 대전환’ 본격 시동
전주시가 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 행정·민원서비스 혁신에 본격 착수했다.
시는 행정·민원서비스 개선을 위해 전주시 27개 부서 공무원 45명과 전주대학교 교수·AI분야 기업 전문가, 전주시정연구원 연구위원 멘토단 11명 등으로 구성된 ‘전주시 AX(인공지능 전환) 추진단’이 본격적인 활동을 시작했다고 25일 밝혔다.
앞서 지난 18일 공식 출범한 전주시 AX 추진단은 이날 AI 교육을 받는 것으로 ‘AI 특별도시 전주’를 만들기 위한 준비에 돌입했다.
구체적으로 추진단은 ‘AX 전환’ 업무협약을 체결한 전주대학교 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업단의 지원을 받아 먼저 2주간 AI 전문교육을 받게 된다.
이후 전문가 멘토를 중심으로 행정 분야별 그룹을 편성하고, 8주간 AI를 활용한 업무 개선 프로젝트를 수행할 예정이다.
시는 AX추진단 활동을 통해 발굴한 우수 AX 프로젝트를 전 부서에 확산 적용해 AI 활용 경험을 확대하고, 또 다른 프로젝트 개발로 이어지는 교육-실행-확산 선순환 구조를 만든다는 구상이다.
