The warm support from the local community continues for the merchants affected by the fire at the Nongseonsan Wholesale Agricultural Market in Songcheon-dong, Jeonju City, who are facing difficulties.
On the 26th, Jeonju City held a ceremony for the delivery of donations for the restoration of the facilities of 17 merchants affected by the fire at the Nongseonsan Wholesale Agricultural Market. The ceremony took place at the Jeonju City Hall with the participation of four organizations: the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Branch of the Korea Construction Association, the Jeonju Small Business Association, the Jeonju Agricultural Association, and the Jeonju-Wanju Branch of the Korea Saenongmin Association.
At the event, the four organizations voluntarily donated a total of 11 million won, with the Korea Construction Association Jeonbuk Branch contributing 5 million won, the Jeonju Agricultural Association 3 million won, the Jeonju Small Business Association 2 million won, and the Jeonju-Wanju Branch of the Korea Saenongmin Association 1 million won. The donated funds will be evenly distributed through the Jeonju Welfare Foundation to support the quick recovery of the facilities and livelihoods of the 17 merchants affected by the fire.
Prior to this, on the 18th, the Korea Construction Association Jeonbuk Branch donated 7 million won, and on the 21st, various social gatherings of public officials in Jeonju City and the local architectural society donated a total of 13 million won, showing a consistent flow of warm support from the local community for the merchants affected by the fire.
전주 송천동 도매시장 화재 복구 성금 행렬 이어져
화재로 어려움을 겪고 있는 전주시 송천동 농수산물 도매시장 피해 상인들을 향한 지역사회의 온정의 손길이 연이어 이어지고 있다.
전주시는 26일 전주부시장실에서 대한전문건설협회 전북특별자치도회, 전주시 소상공인연합회, 전주시농업인단체연합회, (사)한국새농민 전주완주시군회 등 4개 단체가 참석한 가운데 ‘농수산물도매시장 활어동 화재 피해 복구 성금 전달식’을 개최했다.
이 자리에서 4개 단체는 △대한전문건설협회 전북특별자치도회 500만 원 △전주시농업인단체연합회 300만 원 △전주시 소상공인연합회 200만 원 △(사)한국새농민 전주완주시군회 100만 원 등 회원들이 자발적으로 조성한 성금 총 1100만 원을 전주시에 기탁했다.
이날 전달된 성금은 전주복지재단을 통해 화재 피해를 입은 송천동 농수산물 도매시장 활어동 상인 17명의 시설 복구와 조속한 생계 안정을 위해 균등 지급될 예정이다.
이에 앞서 지난 18일에는 대한건설협회 전북도회가 성금 700만 원을 기탁했으며, 지난 21일에는 전주시 공직자 직렬별 친목 모임과 전주지역 건축사회가 총 1300만 원의 성금을 전달하는 등 화재 피해 상인들을 위한 지역사회의 온정의 손길이 꾸준히 이어져 왔다.
