On the 25th, the Education Innovation Headquarters at Jeonbuk University launched the '2026 Summer JBNU AIX-PBL Workshop and Performance Sharing Meeting' to promote the spread of an educational innovation model that combines artificial intelligence (AI) to solve industry and community problems.
Under the theme 'From Industry Sites to Classrooms, Crossing the Boundaries of Education,' the event was attended by professors, learners, and learning facilitators (TAs) who shared exemplary practices in operating outstanding courses and enhancing learning capabilities based on industry-linked projects.
In Part 1, Joo Jae-woo, Deputy Director of the Education Innovation Headquarters, explained the background and educational direction of JBNU AIX-PBL and introduced plans to develop six customized educational models reflecting the characteristics of different disciplines.
Exemplary cases included presentations on 'Food Industry Organization Theory' by Professor Kim Soo-hyun from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and 'Special Classes and Housing' by Professor Jang Mi-sun from the Department of Housing Environment. Students participated in solving real field problems by collaborating with local companies to devise marketing strategies for the North American market or designing models for renovating elderly housing in collaboration with local residential welfare organizations.
In Part 2, professors from Hanyang University ERICA introduced strategies for operating industry-linked PBL classes, methods for utilizing generative AI, and team project collaboration techniques.
Shim Jae-woo, Director of the Education Innovation Headquarters, stated, "AIX-PBL is a future-oriented educational ecosystem that expands university knowledge and students' creative ideas to industry and local community fields," adding, "We will support students to grow into versatile talents equipped with practical and AI capabilities."
전북대, ‘JBNU AIX-PBL’ 확산 나서…산업·지역 문제 AI로 해결
전북대학교 교육혁신본부는 25일 ‘2026학년도 하계 JBNU AIX-PBL 워크숍 및 성과공유회’를 열고 산업체·지역사회 문제를 인공지능(AI)과 결합해 해결하는 교육혁신 모델 확산에 나섰다.
‘산업현장을 교실로, 교육의 경계를 넘다’를 주제로 열린 이번 행사에는 교수자와 학습자, 러닝퍼실리테이터(TA) 등이 참석해 우수 교과목 운영 사례를 공유하고 산업체 연계 프로젝트 기반 학습 역량을 강화했다.
1부에서는 주재우 교육혁신본부 부본부장이 JBNU AIX-PBL의 추진 배경과 교육 방향을 설명하고, 계열별 특성을 반영한 6개 맞춤형 교육모형 개발 계획을 소개했다.
우수 사례로는 농경제유통학부 김수현 교수의 ‘식품산업조직론’과 주거환경학과 장미선 교수의 ‘특수계층과 주거’ 교과목이 발표됐다. 학생들은 지역 기업과 협력해 북미 시장 마케팅 전략을 구상하거나, 지역 주거복지기관과 함께 노후주택 개조 모델을 설계하는 등 실제 현장 문제 해결에 참여했다.
2부에서는 한양대학교 ERICA 교수진이 참여해 산업체 연계 PBL 수업 운영 전략과 생성형 AI 활용 방법, 팀 프로젝트 협업 기법 등을 소개했다.
심재우 교육혁신본부장은 “AIX-PBL은 대학의 지식과 학생들의 창의적 아이디어를 산업체와 지역사회 현장으로 확장하는 미래형 교육 생태계”라며 “학생들이 현장 실무 역량과 AI 역량을 두루 갖춘 융복합 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
