The National Gugak Center will present the second half of the '2026 K-Gugak Stage' performances at Yeumheon on September 12th and 19th at 3 p.m.
This second half of the 'K-Gugak Stage' will feature stages showcasing the artistic personalities of the members of the National Gugak Center. Starting with a comprehensive performance of instrumental music, vocal music, and dance in September, the program will include performances such as the pansori singing by the Changgeukdan, the dance by the Mudongdan, and solo performances by the instrumental ensemble.
The performance on the 12th will open with the instrumental ensemble piece "Songs of the Four Seasons," which expresses the ever-changing appearance of the four seasons to a diverse rhythm. This will be followed by the refined sword dance "Honam Geommu," the wish for national peace in "Taepyeongmu," Gayageum music "Honamga," "Shinsacheolga," "Yukjabae-gi" with the essence of Namdo music, and "Samdo Pungmulnori" combining the distinctive folk music of the three regions (Honam, Yeongnam, and Chungbu).
The performance on the 19th will start with the "Won Jang-hyun Style Daegeum Sanjo," which combines the melodies conveyed by Han Il-seop with the musical philosophy of Won Jang-hyun and his unique melodies. It will be followed by the pansori entertainment piece "The First Exciting Scene," the traditional dance "Yeonheungmu" expressing the vitality of spring based on the basic dance movements of traditional dance, the instrumental ensemble "Hwaranchunseong" centered around Gyeonggi minyo melodies, the pansori ensemble "Eosasangbong," and the folk music play "Utdarinongaknori" from Gyeonggi and Chungcheong regions.
The 'K-Gugak Stage' will continue with performances in October on the 10th, 24th, and 31st, in November on the 7th, 14th, and 28th, and in December on the 5th, 12th, and 19th. Various stages including pansori singing, traditional dance, instrumental music, and sanjo performances will meet the audience until the end of the year.
국립민속국악원 ‘K-국악스테이지’, 하반기 공연의 문 열어
국립민속국악원은 오는 9월 12일과 19일 오후 3시 예음헌에서 ‘2026 K-국악스테이지’ 하반기 공연을 선보인다.
이번 하반기 ‘K-국악스테이지’는 국립민속국악원 단원들의 예술적 개성을 담은 무대를 마련한다. 9월 종합 악·가·무 공연을 시작으로 창극단의 판소리 연창, 무용단의 홀춤, 기악단의 독주 등 다양한 장르의 민속예술을 선보인다.
12일 공연은 서용석 명인의 신민요 ‘꽃피는 새동산’과 ‘신사철가’를 새롭게 구성한 곡으로 다채로운 장단에 맞춰 변화무쌍한 사계절의 모습을 표현한 기악중주 〈사계절의 노래〉로 문을 연다. 이어 절도 있는 춤사위를 선보이는 〈호남검무〉와 나라의 태평성대를 기원하는 〈태평무〉, 가야금병창 〈호남가〉, 〈신사철가〉, 남도음악의 시김새가 잘 담긴 〈육자배기〉, 삼도(호남·영남·중부)의 특색 있는 농악가락을 엮어 만든 〈삼도풍물놀이〉를 선보이는 등 소리와 춤, 풍물이 어우러진 무대를 꾸민다.
19일 공연은 한일섭이 구음으로 전한 가락에 원장현의 음악철학과 독창적인 선율을 더해 완성한 〈원장현류 대금산조〉를 시작으로 판소리 흥보가 중 〈흥보 첫째 박타는 대목〉, 전통춤의 기본 춤사위를 바탕으로 봄의 생명을 표현한 〈연흥무〉, 경기민요 선율을 중심으로 구성한 기악중주 〈화란춘성〉, 판소리 입체창 〈어사상봉〉, 경기·충청 지방의 풍물가락인 〈웃다리농악놀이〉를 선보인다.
‘K-국악스테이지’는 9월 공연에 이어 10월 10·24·31일, 11월 7·14·28일, 12월 5·12·19일에도 계속된다. 판소리 연창과 전통무용, 기악·산조 등 다양한 무대로 연말까지 관객을 만날 예정이다.
