The 9th Jeonju International Short Film Festival successfully concluded by announcing the award-winning works in a total of 26 categories including international, domestic, Jeonbuk competition, and newly established categories such as 'SERO Instinct (vertical films)' and 'Monologue Exhibition: Stars of Jeonju'.
In the international competition, the Best Film award went to Jan Serafim's 'Tango of Death', the Best Director award to Melina Samyjade ('Noise'), and the Best Actor award to Igor Regalla ('Prayer'). In the domestic competition, Kang Min-a's 'Business Diary' received the Best Film award, Kang Da-yeong ('The Pieces') won the Best Director award, and Lee Ye-jin ('Paddling to the End') won the Best Actor award.
For the Jeonbuk competition, the Best Film award (Flower Heart Award) went to So Ji-in's 'Welding', while Kim Eun-sung ('God Complex') won both the Best Director and Best Actor awards (Nam Kyung-woo) simultaneously.
In addition, the award for the 'Monologue Exhibition' competition, which featured performances under one minute, went to actress Im Hyun-jeong, and the award for the vertical video category 'SERO Instinct' went to Kim Jun-seok's 'Do Androids Dream of Wind'.
Executive Director Kwak Hyo-min expressed his gratitude to all participants, stating, "I will do my best to successfully host the 10th edition of the festival next year."
제9회 전주국제단편영화제, 26개 수상작 발표하며 막 내려
제9회 전주국제단편영화제가 국제·국내·전북경쟁과 신설된 ‘SERO본능(세로 영화)’, ‘독백전: 전주의 별’ 등 총 26개 부문의 수상작을 발표하며 성황리에 폐막했다.
국제경쟁 최우수작품상은 얀 세라핌 감독의 ‘죽음의 탱고’, 감독상은 멜리나 사미자데(‘노이즈’), 배우상은 이고르 레갈라(‘기도’)가 수상했다. 국내경쟁에서는 강민아 감독의 ‘영업일지’가 최우수작품상을 받았으며, 강다영 감독(‘덩어리들’)이 감독상, 이여진(‘끝장나게 카누타기’)이 배우상을 차지했다.
지역 영화인을 위한 전북경쟁 최우수작품상(꽃심상)은 소지인 감독의 ‘땜’에 돌아갔고, 김은성 감독(‘God complex’)이 감독상과 배우상(남경우)을 동시에 배출했다.
이 외에도 1분 미만 연기를 겨룬 ‘독백전’ 대상은 임현정 배우가, 세로형 영상 부문인 ‘SERO본능’ 대상은 김준석 감독의 ‘안드로이드는 바람의 꿈을 꾸는가’가 각각 수상했다.
곽효민 집행위원장은 “참여해 주신 모든 분께 감사드리며, 내년 제10회 영화제도 성공적으로 개최할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
