Members of the Mujoo Peach Cooperative Association donated a scholarship of 5,580,5097 won to the Mujoo County Education Development Scholarship Foundation on the 13th.
The Mujoo Peach Cooperative Association (Chairman Han Sang-cheol) and the Gucheondong Peach Cooperative Association (Chairman Yang Sung-gi) stated, "We donated by gathering the intentions of local peach farms," and expressed their hope that "the interest in students will become a driving force for nurturing dreams and hopes." They added, "We will strive to become an organization that grows together with the local community through enhancing the production and distribution competitiveness of high-quality peaches."
The Mujoo Peach Cooperative Association is composed of a total of 47 members, including 24 from Mujoo-eup and Jeoksang-myeon, and 23 from the Gucheondong area, and operates based on the principle of joint selection and calculation by the Nonghyup unit. They have donated over 19 million won in scholarships from 2021 to last year.
On the same day, employees of the Mujoo Taekwon Adventure (CEO Lee Do-woo) also delivered a scholarship of 1 million won. The employees stated, "We have received much love, with over 10,000 visitors since opening in 2024," and expressed their hope to establish themselves as a representative facility of Mujoo, the holy land of Taekwondo, while also supporting the growth of local students.
Mujoo Taekwon Adventure is an experiential leisure facility located within the Taekwondo Center in Seolcheon-myeon, Mujoo County, operating customized experience programs for families, youth, and adults based on the philosophy of Taekwondo and the spirit of challenge.
무주 복숭아 공선회·무주태권어드벤처, 교육발전장학재단에 장학금 기탁
무주군 복숭아 공선회 회원들이 지난 13일 (재)무주군교육발전장학재단에 장학금 558만 5,097원을 기부했다.
무주 복숭아 공선회(회장 한상철)와 구천동 복숭아 공선회(회장 양성기) 회원들은 “지역 복숭아 농가들의 뜻을 모아 기부하게 됐다”며 “학생들을 향한 관심이 꿈과 희망을 키우는 동력이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “고품질 복숭아 생산과 유통 경쟁력 강화를 통해 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 단체가 되도록 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
무주 복숭아 공선회는 무주읍·적상면 24명, 구천동 지역 23명 등 총 47명으로 구성됐으며, 농협 단위 공동선별·공동계산을 원칙으로 운영하고 있다. 2021년부터 지난해까지 1,900여만 원의 장학금을 기탁한 바 있다.
같은 날 무주태권어드벤처(대표 이도우) 임직원들도 장학금 100만 원을 전달했다. 임직원들은 “2024년 개원 이후 1만여 명이 방문하는 등 많은 사랑을 받고 있다”며 “태권도 성지 무주를 대표하는 시설로 자리매김하길 바라며 지역 학생들의 성장도 응원하겠다”고 말했다.
무주태권어드벤처는 무주군 설천면 태권도원 내 체험형 레저시설로, 태권도 철학과 도전정신을 바탕으로 가족·청소년·성인 대상 맞춤형 체험 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
